Surf Mud is an Australian brand of sunscreen made by surfers, for surfers … and everyone else too! The range started with a full coverage tinted zinc sunscreen and has since expanded to include three different formulas available in tubes and tins.

WHAT MAKES SURF MUD STAND OUT?
It’s what Surf Mud leaves out that makes it stand out over mainstream chemical sunscreens. There are no chemical UV filters, which can react with skin and harm coral reefs. Instead, zinc oxide provides reef-safe protection. There are no artificial fragrances, lab-derived preservatives, parabens, or nanoparticles either. Surf Mud offers TGA-approved protection without any of these ingredients — all cruelty-free with no animal testing.

SURFMUD OCEAN ADDICTS SUNSCREEN SPF 30
Surf Mud’s original mineral sunscreen, named for their strong ocean affinity. This clear, zinc oxide-powered sunscreen is reef safe and Australian made. Available in a small tube, large tube, and tin, it creates a physical barrier that blocks harmful UVA and UVB rays. It’s hydrating, sweat-resistant, and suitable for face and body.

SURFMUD MINERAL SUNSCREEN SPF 50
A lighter-feel, higher SPF formula introduced in summer 2023/2024. Like Ocean Addicts, it’s a clear zinc oxide sunscreen offering enhanced protection.

SURFMUD SURFBABY SENSITIVE SUNSCREEN
Packaged in a bright blue tube, this SPF 30 formula is designed for babies and anyone with sensitive skin. The revamped formula is dermatologist tested and backed by sensitive skin HRIPT results.

IS SURFMUD WATER RESISTANT?
Yes, Surf Mud sunscreen is water resistant for 4 hours. For best protection, reapply after swimming, towel drying, or surfing, and every 2 hours. Apply 20 minutes before sun exposure and use ample, even coverage.
