Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the bloodstream. It is considered a "conditionally essential amino acid" because it can be manufactured in the body. However under extreme physical stress such as injuries, burns, infections, trauma or surgical procedures, the demand for glutamine exceeds the body's ability to synthesize it.

Some of the powders are slightly hygroscopic (retain moisture) and this can result in clumping. This can be broken apart with a spoon before taking or dissolved in water.

Specific weight:

One 5ml metric teaspoon = 3000mg.

Serving sugestion 

Glutamine should be taken with cold or room temperature food or liquids. It should not be added to hot beverages because heat destroys glutamine.
Average serving would be 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon added to food or liquid.
