Combines sodium phosphate and potassium chloride in a single tablet for mineral supplementation.


USES:

  • Prescribed to maintain electrolyte and mineral balance, especially sodium, phosphate, potassium, and chloride.

  • Suitable for infants, children, pregnant and lactating women, and elderly when directed by a healthcare professional.

  • Supports acid-base balance via the phosphate buffer system (sodium monohydrogen phosphate and sodium dihydrogen phosphate).

  • Aids digestive function by providing potassium and chloride necessary for gastric acid production.


DOSAGE:

  • Adults: Take 1 tablet 3 times a day with meals, or as professionally prescribed.

  • Children under 12 years: As professionally prescribed.

  • The easy-to-swallow tablet can be halved or crushed to facilitate low-dose prescribing for infants and children.


KEY COMPONENTS PER TABLET:

  • Sodium phosphate - dibasic anhydrous 260mg (elemental sodium 84.2mg)

  • Potassium chloride 65mg (elemental potassium 34.1mg)

  • Each tablet contains lactose 135mg


IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Caution may be required in some patients due to sodium content.

  • S.P.P.C. may interact with certain other medications your patients may be taking. Sodium may increase the risk of oedema associated with antihypertensive agents (calcium channel blockers, vasodilators), corticosteroids, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, oestrogens, liquorice and carbenoxolone.
