Yerba Mate offers an uplifting quality with a vegetal, earthy and slightly toasty flavour.

This organic, green variety of yerba mate leaf is sourced from Brazil, with no other ingredients or additives. Native to South America, yerba mate was traditionally consumed by the Guarani and Tupi peoples for its high caffeine content and rich antioxidant properties. Caffeine stimulates the nervous system and can support energy production, vitality and mental clarity.

A typical cup of yerba mate contains around 80mg of caffeine—slightly less than coffee—but is often reported to provide a smoother, more sustained lift without the common side effects of coffee such as anxiety or energy crashes.

The presence of polyphenols offers potent antioxidant activity. Yerba mate has traditionally been used to support immune function, enhance mental focus and memory, and boost physical performance. It’s best enjoyed in the morning to make the most of its naturally stimulating properties.

This product is packed in a clear pouch made from renewable, plant-based cellophane that is home compostable. The outer cardboard is printed with vegetable-based inks on post-consumer recycled board and is also home compostable.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Place a heaped teaspoon (2g) of tea per cup (250ml) into a teapot or infuser. Add filtered water at 75°–85°C and allow to infuse for 3–4 minutes. Strain the tea and serve.
