What Happens In A Naturopathic Consultation?
Traditional Naturopathic appointments involve a private consultation with a professional naturopath who will take a detailed health history, perform some non-invasive tests and compile a treatment plan which will address both your symptoms and the cause of your health problem.
We take your health very seriously. Your first appointment will be very comprehensive and generally takes about an hour where your health status will be analysed along with your health goals. In this initial consultation your practitioner will take a thorough health history and it may include iridology, a pH test, a blood pressure test or tongue and nail analysis. Be sure to bring in with you a copy of any tests you may have had done recently (eg hormone tests, iron levels, blood pressure readings etc).
After a comprehensive questioning and analysis your practitioner will put together a treatment plan which will include a dietary & lifestyle proposal, a supplementation regime and any other advice that will treat both your symptoms and the cause of your health problem.
Your practitioner will want to see you for a follow-up appointments (generally 2-4 weeks apart) to assess your progress, refine your treatment plan, offer advice and support and address any other issues you may have. You need only allow approximately 30 minutes for any Follow-up or Return consultations.
Our Naturopathic Clinic is located in-store and consultations are made by appointment only. Our clinic is a very busy, vibrant clinic so make sure to book appointments well in advance to avoid disappointment.
Health Fund Rebates
The Practitioners at Mammoth Health are registered with all the private health funds. But unfortunately the Government has rescinded Rebates for naturopathic consultations from April 1st 2019. We are hoping this will change in the coming future – we will keep you posted.
